Basler Herbstmesse

We arrived just in time to catch the tail end of Basel's autumn fair, the Basler Herbstmesse. This is Switzerland's oldest and biggest fair, held annualy for two weeks at the end of October into early November. Rides and booths are set up throughout the city. We explored the Petersplatz area with some new friends last Saturday afternoon, where the kids enjoyed the carousel and other small rides. Another night we took the boys to Münsterplatz and rode the famous ferris wheel. The view of the city from the top was beautiful (but when did I become afraid of heights?)!
