Meet the Grandparents

Both sets of grandparents came to Basel to meet the newest Eckert boy and to celebrate Easter with us. Since I was still recovering from surgery and still adapting to the needs of our new little guy, I felt somewhat limited as hostess (no typed itineraries this time!), but the weather was beautiful and everyone seemed content to just spend time together.

Eli and Ethan really enjoyed the extra attention, especially their outings to the zoo with LaLa and PopPop and to Luzern with Grammy and Poppy. Eli also got a one-on-one date with Grammy to the Naturhistorisches Museum and the Movenpick for ice cream (end of the date kiss included!).

Oliver was spoiled with lots of holding and cuddles. He was also quite the socialite, dining out three nights, including a really nice dinner at Acqua.

We celebrated Easter with brunch and an egg hunt at the Dew's house on Saturday, where our parents really enjoyed getting to meet some of our local friends. The Easter Bunny also made it to our apartment on Saturday night and left a variety of goodies; the big boy scooters and four remaining Nanos for our Migros Nano collection were the big hits.

We were all sad to see the grandparents go, and we hope its not too long before we get to see them again!
