Osterfest 2010

Sad to not have family visiting again this Easter, we surrounded ourselves with friends, multiple egg hunts and way too much chocolate.

We attended the American Women’s Club egg hunt on Saturday morning. Despite the cold, rainy weather, the kids happily ran around and stocked up on lots of imported goodies (thank you E. Bunny for the Reeses Peanut Butter eggs!).

The Bunny showed up at our house that night. The boys woke early on Sunday, excited to find Kinder Surprise eggs and brand new rollerskates, and not all that excited about the Bunny’s hard-boiled egg hunt. Lucky for them, he/she had left tons of candy at the Eckenstein’s house, where we joined several other families for yet another egg hunt and a really nice brunch.

As I watched the chocolate accumulate in the boys’ baskets, I started to stress about the days of hyperactivity that were to ensue. But one smart mother passed along some terrific, and very Swiss, advice…make fondue! Looks like the pot is coming out of hibernation early!
